What is Clean Decision-Making?
"Better Decisions In Half The Time"
Clean Decision-Making (CDM) is a way of making good decisions rapidly. It deals with the most challenging aspects of decision-making:
- Identifying the real problem
- Managing constraints
- Developing sound proposals
- Agreeing on solutions that do no harm
CDM applies the Metaphor Inquiry, Symbolic Modelling, Clean Language and Clean Space tools of David Grove. It is used for personal development by individuals to help them get clear on what they want. CDM is also used by groups of people who are working together to make complex strategic decisions.
If you want to learn more about Metaphor Inquiry, you can sign up for our Mail List, attend a Metaphor Practice Meeting, or book a Metaphor Inquiry Session.
Clean Decision-Making includes tools from approaches such as:
CDM is a practice for using "bottom up" thinking to emerge workable solutions. It is a way of working together wisely that surfaces and connects interior and exterior knowledge. CDM uses active metaphor inquiry to integrate as many perspectives as possible and develop a non-objectionable path forward.
The process is energizing and the outcomes are surprising, satisfying and elegant. |
